Flawless Key Lime Pie

This easy recipe make a key lime pie that even Jimmy Buffett would sing about! I had no idea how easy making these at home was! One bag of key limes provide the correct amount of juice for this recipe, however juicing them is kind of a pain. If you can find this bottled key lime juice I recommend using it!

5 egg yolks, beaten
1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz)
1/2 cup key lime juice (use more if using regular limes)
1 (9 inch) prepared graham cracker crust

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Combine the egg yolks, sweetened condensed milk and lime juice. Mix well. Pour into unbaked graham cracker shell.
Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes. Allow to cool.
There will be extra room to top with whipped topping.
You may garnish with lime slices if you feel like it!

Home Based Catering Business?

Recently I've been toying with the idea of doing some simple catering from home. Nothing that would allow me to quit my day job, but I thought it might be neat to offer a few items for small parties, or baby showers etc.

I had another idea of just catering to small poker games that people have, maybe offering a few good appetizer, snacks and such.

I got online and did some research and found out that doing this may actually be easier than I thought. I found an excellent ebook that outlines basically everything you need to know about the catering business. It even included a lot of the forms and business plans!

How great would it be to get paid cooking for people, huh? :)

If you have ever even entertained the idea of starting a catering business from home, you owe it to yourself to look at this information. (Link Below)

Delicious Honey Wings

I've been on a huge chicken wing kick. They are cheap, and delicious and you dont need a deep fryer to make incredible wings at home. Use the oven for these honey wings with a hint of lime.

1-1.5 lbs. Wings (fresh or frozen and split if you like)
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1 tablespoon grated lime zest
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon salt

In a large bowl, mix together the honey, lime juice, lime peel, garlic, salt and ground black pepper. Season wings with some salt & pepper and bake in preheated 400 degree oven for 35 minutes (or until juices run clear) Next, brush wings with honey lime sauce and return to oven for 10 minutes. Serve immediatly.
